Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of

APPLICATION OF THE GUIDANCE
This "Guidance relating to rules for the survey and construction of FRP ships" (hereafter called as the Guidance) is prepared with the intent of giving guidelines as to the treatment of the various provisions for items required the unified interpretations and items not specified in details in the Rules, and the requirements specified in the Guidance are to be ap- plied, in principle, in addition to the various provisions in the Rules.
As to any technical modifications which can be regarded as equivalent to any requirements in the Guidance, their flexible application will be prop- erly considered.
APPLICATION OF
"GUIDANCE RELATING TO RULES FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF FRP SHIPS"
1. Unless expressly specified otherwise, the requirements in the Guidance apply to ships contracts for construction are signed on or after 1 July 2014.
2. The amendments to the Guidance for 2012 and their effective date are as follows;
